General conditions of sale for stays in guest rooms

Article 1 – Duration of stay

The client signing this contract concluded for a fixed period may not under any circumstances claim any right to remain on the premises.



Article 2 – Reservation formalities

After receiving your reservation request, we will send you a written reservation confirmation by email or SMS. We invite you to respond affirmatively to this confirmation by email or SMS as soon as possible and to pay a deposit within ten days (but sooner if it is a reservation made with less notice). The amount of this deposit corresponds to 35% of the total price of the stay with a minimum of one night per room reserved. Upon receipt of the deposit, the reservation becomes firm. Payment of the deposit confirms your full agreement with these general conditions. Important: failure to pay the deposit within the given timeframe means that the reservation is not confirmed and, consequently, we reserve the right to recover rooms that have become vacant.

Article 3 – Consumer Code – right of withdrawal

A reservation made online, by telephone, and/or by mail is a distance purchase. This is a contract concluded remotely as defined by the French Consumer Code. We are subject to Articles L. 121-17 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. Please note that the right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation service contracts.

Article 4 – Cancellation of stay by the customer

Any changes are only possible with the agreement of "La Ferme de La Croix" and may result in additional costs. We inform you that in the event of cancellation of the reservation before the start of the stay, the customer will be due, as a penalty clause, compensation set as follows:

– if the cancellation occurs more than 38 days before the arrival date, the deposit will be refunded in full;

– if the cancellation occurs less than 38 days before the arrival date, the deposit will be retained by La Ferme de La Croix, which has the right to claim and invoice the balance of the price of the stay if the cancellation occurs less than 7 days (if the stay remains vacant following the cancellation).

In the event of delayed arrival and/or early departure during the stay: full payment for the reserved service is due regardless of the reason.

Article 5 – Cancellation insurance payable by the customer

Please note that cancellation insurance is not included in our rates. It is therefore strongly recommended that you purchase it.

Article 6 – Cancellation of stay by the owner

If, before the start of the stay, the owner is forced to cancel the reservation, he must immediately inform his client by any means. The client will then be immediately and fully reimbursed for any sums already paid.

Article 7 – Arrival time

Arrival is expected in the afternoon from 5 p.m., and possible until 9 p.m. In case of special or unforeseen requests, it will be necessary to contact us by telephone at 0033 (0)6 71 98 84 78 to notify us of any delay.

Article 8 – Departure time

Check-out time from rooms is 10:30 a.m. at the latest.

Article 9 – Payment of the balance of the accommodation

The balance of the stay will be paid on the day of your departure, in accordance with your reservation contract, possibly supplemented by additional costs, including those relating to the table d'hôte, the meal plan or the jacuzzi session.

Article 10 – Change of rooms

Without the customer being able to claim any compensation, the owner reserves the right to change the room initially reserved by the customer to a room of the same or higher capacity. In such a case, the cost of the reservation remains unchanged.

Article 12 – Art of living and use of premises

To ensure the tranquility and comfort of La Ferme de la Croix guests, everyone is required to adhere to a certain "art de vivre." In particular, guests are asked not to smoke inside. Guests agree to abide by the etiquette guidelines provided and these general terms and conditions of sale.

The guest agrees to return the rooms in perfect condition and free of damage at the end of the stay and to systematically report – and assume financial responsibility for – any damage for which they are responsible. Repair costs, including the time required for the restoration, will be settled according to a separate invoice and on the basis of supporting documents for the costs incurred.

Guests are advised that minors on the property are under the sole and complete responsibility of their parents or persons having authority over them. Children must always be accompanied by an adult in our house and/or on the grounds (the jacuzzi is not accessible to children under 16 years old).

Your stay at La Ferme de La Croix and the use of our equipment and facilities such as the jacuzzi and parking space is voluntary and at your own risk.

La Ferme de La Croix is not responsible for any loss, theft and/or damage or injury to property and/or persons on the property, regardless of the cause.

Article 13 – Modification of the conditions of sale

These terms and conditions of sale are subject to change at any time and without notice. Acceptance and compliance with these terms and conditions of sale are deemed to have been acquired as soon as the deposit has been paid.

Article 14 – Data Protection Act

In accordance with Law No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978, relating to information technology, files, and civil liberties, you have the right to access and rectify your personal data. We undertake not to share the information you provide to any other company or organization under any circumstances.
